Jin-Sung GIL

Patent Attorney

Jin-Sung Gil is a patent attorney in the chemistry team at Lee International IP & Law, where he handles prosecutions of domestic and international patent applications in the fields of chemistry and chemical engineering.
Mr. Gil was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 2023. Before joining Lee International IP & Law, Mr. Gil worked at KNP International for about two years. At KNP, he represented domestic and foreign clients and handled a balanced range of incoming, outgoing and domestic matters across various technical fields. Serving in a team leader capacity, he was involved in developing and advising on client patent portfolio strategies.
Mr. Gil received his B.S. in Chemistry from Seoul National University (2023) and is fluent in English.
Specifically, Mr. Gil has experience handling matters including entry into the Korean national phase and office action responses for Japanese chemical and pharmaceutical companies in connection with antibacterial compositions, fluorescent probes, curable compositions, resin compositions, target inhibitors and coating materials.
He has also represented leading Korean companies in domestic and international patent filings, office action responses and standard-essential patent matters, primarily in the areas of LiDAR sensors, camera modules and electric vehicle charging technologies.
Mr. Gil has worked with domestic mid-sized companies, SMEs and startups across a broad range of industries, advising on the identification of patentable inventions, patent strategy and domestic filings in fields including pharmaceutical compositions, semiconductors, glucose monitoring devices, wearable robots, artificial intelligence and agent platforms.
