Min-Kyung Kim has ample experience with prosecuting patent applications before the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) in the technical fields of semiconductor devices, display devices, LEDs, circuits and lighting systems technologies.
Ms. Kim has extensive experience searching the patentability of inventions and preparing Korean domestic patent applications, including drafting descriptions and all formalities required by KIPO. She has also undertaken applications and registration procedures for obtaining foreign patents, including in the US, Japan, China, the EU, and other countries.
Prior to joining Lee International IP & Law, Ms. Kim worked at C&S Patent and Law Office from 2009 to 2012, principally on LED’s patent portfolio.
Ms. Kim graduated with distinction from Newcastle University, U.K. (M.S., Microelectronics, 2013). She studied technologies in the semiconductor field, such as SOC test strategies, photonics, electronic devices, electronic device fabrication, advanced VLSI and reconfigurable hardware designs. She is also a graduate of Yonsei University (B.S., Electrical and Electronic Engineering, B.S., Chemical Engineering, 2010) and has completed ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea), an intensive chemical engineering program.
